Long Beach, CA that honed its distinctively tight sound through joyful, relentless, and ever-expanding touring throughout the USA, Canada, Mexico and Europe, amassing over 80 festival performances along the way.

 

Picture this. A tall, blue-eyed blonde steps up to the microphone, a guitar in her hands and confidence in her soul. She launches into a set of hot, modern blues, spiced with burning guitar solos, soulful harmonies and

compelling songwriting. Her in-between song banter is affable and relatable.

As Alastair Greene’s prolific and acclaimed career rounds the corner into a third decade, Greene arrives at a new, yet familiar destination.  Following a 2018 live album that celebrated the 20th anniversary of his noteworthy Alastair Greene Band, the singer-songwriter/guitarist returns with an inspired solo collection, The New World Blues, and a tonic for the times.  “I’m not a prophet by any stretch of the imagination,” Greene says.  “But, this record is even more relevant now than when I wrote it in 2019.”

A native of Santa Barbara, Calif., Greene has ridden his Blues-soaked rock into the 21st century, traversing a constantly changing global (and musical) landscape.  He’s well-equipped for the challenge, carrying the diverse musical interests he developed at an early age, intrigued by his mother's piano-playing and a record collection that included The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, and Elton John.  His father introduced the youngster to the sophistication of Bach and Beethoven, yet it was Greene’s grandfather, the late trumpeter Chico Alvarez- a member of the Stan Kenton Band in the 1940s and '50s- who inspired him to pursue a life in music.

​RAEL-The Music of Genesis is a New York and Northern New Jersey-based tribute band that recaptures the energy and originality of the “early years” live stage performances by Genesis. RAEL pays homage to the most groundbreaking and influential band in the progressive rock genre by incorporating the musical excellence, lyrical storytelling, and theatricality that brought Genesis to a position of prominence in the rock world. RAEL is focused on faithfully reproducing full album versions from the Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett days of Genesis. Performances include tracks from Nursery Cryme, Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway and A Trick of the Tail. Concert audiences rave about their high energy shows and musical detail. RAEL also includes solo Peter Gabriel hits in their performances
